The Power of Parallel Play
Recently read a great article about the power of parallel play—where children play side by side, but not directly with each other. And I thought, why not add parents to that too?
It’s all about everyone hanging out at the same table, doing their own thing. It can be any low-maintenance activity—reading a book, making a puzzle, sketching, and of course, play dough :)
Play dough is the easiest sensory play activity to have around because once kids touch it, their imagination takes over and they’re off making all sorts of things. Meanwhile, I can read my book or even sneak in a bit of admin.
I make these little magic tins for myself 😎 and for you mums 🥳, so we don’t have to spend precious time sorting bits and setting things up. Having a kit ready to hand is a total life saver. Just something simple, ready to go, so everyone can relax and enjoy their own thing—while still sharing the moment.
